A multidisciplinary work brimming with emotion, In Our Own Backyards is a Deaf/hearing dance theatre piece that immerses us in the memories of a second-generation Muslim woman living in Quebec. Music, where it all seems to begin, and the movement of dance steps and gestures that respond to it... But also American Sign Language and English text are woven into the mix, bringing to life, through this combination, an artistic performance charged with meaning.
