This solo piece takes us into a semi-fictional story of a conflict on a shared balcony in Montreal. Inspired by the perspective of a newcomer grappling with conflicting personalities, traditions, and cultures in her new environment, she must find her voice in a delicate negotiation with her well-established neighbour who continues to encroach on her space year after year. How can we live in community and negotiate shared spaces?
